  I used to frequent Charlie's, and loved it there. However, when a member of management finds it acceptable to guilt an employee on behalf of the staff, who just lost her mom, about not picking up shifts while she is off on bereavement leave it helps me to decide that I won't be back. This member of management felt it necessary to also state on behalf of the staff that they are upset because they have not received proper recognition for their contributions after her mom passed. I still have my mother living, but if she passed, I cannot say that thanking everyone would be the first thing on my mind. When you give to someone who's lost a family member in this manner, you do not do it for recognition. For a member of management to behave this way, it's extremely disappointing. I hope that this makes its way to the owner, since when I called to voice this yesterday I was told they weren't allowed to give out that information. I pray that when the time comes for this manager to lose her mom, someone else will show her more compassion than she has displayed here.

  Decent bar menu, nothing fancy, they usually have a couple specials. Service was good. Public wifi.
